We Are Plus
I was able to pick up another internship while in NYC through a connection. I’m working as the junior retoucher at We Are Plus in Chelsea. They specialize in company branding through various media including experimental media, and do a pretty awesome job at it. It’s a great environment with an especially young design team. Specifically I’m working on retouching stills from a 2 1/2 minute spot for M.A.C. Cosmetics that’s based on four certain colors which will mark their spring lineup. It actually works out quite perfectly since I work at the Leibovitz studio 3 days a week and then here the other 2 days. However it leaves me with little personal time to explore and enjoy the city. Hopefully I’ll be able to go out one of the next few days with my camera to capture parts of the city. I also need to start photographing preliminary work for my upcoming senior thesis next quarter. Hopefully I can relate what’s in my head to something others can see.
