Michael Didyoung
I have met a lot of extremely talented artists in the past 4+ years and this year has been no exception. Meet Mike Didyoung, fellow SCAD graduate and photography aficionado. With a calm-tempered and laid back manner, what is there not to like about him? I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know him quite well over the past 6 months, both as his roommate and retoucher in NYC. Since we share the love of all things photographic, it was an obvious match and beneficial one at that. Mike currently works as the third assistant to celebrity photographer Mark Seliger where he spends 80+ hour weeks (including weekend and twighlight hours) working his tail off. Corny as it may be but my roommates and I have a Chinese fortune on our bathroom mirror that reads “he who does more than he is paid for will soon be paid for more than he does.” While I’ve never been much of a fan of those awful cookies, I can say this one speaks some truth. I have much respect for the man so please enjoy this small collection from his most recent work in the city. Or better yet… check out www.michaeldidyoung.com for a broader scope of his work.
