The piece “fish out of water” from my pinhole series was selected to be in a juried photography exhibit over at the DesotoRow gallery. All-around great guy, Craig Stevens is guest curating the exhibition called “The Extended Moment.” It’s a show featuring “photographic work that explores the idea of the extended moment – a long exposure, multiple exposure, or sequential imagery theme.” There is some really great work there that represents a lot of different photographic styles. So be sure to make it over to the gallery by the 18th or forever hold your peace.

Found out that I am a finalist in Digital Photo Pro’sEmerging Photographer” competition. This is pretty exciting because the grand prize is $10,000 and bunch of other freebies. It’s awesome just to be a finalist since the last two years had great submissions but there’s no problem in hoping, right? Also there is a 1st place winner in each of the three categories that pockets $1000. Either way this should be exciting to find out in the coming month. I’ll post back when I hear the results.

City of Exile

What started out as a personal project catapulted into a series called “City of Exile” for my Seminar II class. It’s been many months in the making but I feel that it’s starting to take shape. Let me know what you think and be sure to check often because I will be posting new pictures as I finish them.

IRrational

I finally finished my pinhole series “IRrational.” It’s a photographic documentation of the good, bad, and just plain weird dreams that occur in my sleep. I have always been one to remember my dreams when I wake up because they’re often extremely memorable—or maybe just extremely bizarre. On a paper plate boat with Asian tour guide in the middle of a lake with menacing shark circling. Enough said.
